VFD AND MB3 BOARD WIRING QUESTION
« on: August 01, 2020, 12:44:09 AM »
Hi,

Currently I am using a YL600 series VFD, and I wanted to control the speed through Mach4 but I think my wiring is incorrect with my ESS/MB3 board.
I currently have A0 and AG connected from the MB3 to A1 and common into the VFD. Is this enough or do I need a FWD wire connected from x4 to an output pin on the MB3 as well?

Any help is appreciated,

Regards,

John Hancock

Update:

I added the FWD signal from the MB3 by connecting x4 to N01 and CM1. When turning it on in Mach4 the switch seems to be working fine, I also changed the setting on my VFD to P07.08 and then 3 for the external control.

The only thing is I dont think my A0 and AG wiring is correct, as its still not sending a signal from mach to change the speed in the external control mode.

Again any help is appreciated,

Regards,

John
